2-Liners need folding lines to induce the collapses that are requiered for EN certificaton. To be able to reproduce collapses, e.g. in an SIV, the pilot need to install these folding lines symmetrically on the canopy. This set contains everything to mount the folding lines to your TAU DLS.
Scope of delivery
The folding line set includes:
- Folding lines (set)
- Folding line riser (pair)
- Piece of line and 2x o-rings
- 2x small quick links (Maillons) & 2x large quick links (Maillons)
- Short manual incl. rigging diagram
Basic settings
The set contains several levels of lines that need to be connected according to the rigging diagram thats given with this folding line set. We recommend to place the glider flat on the ground with the inlet showing upwards.
Step 1
Connect the first level of folding lines to the folding line loops that are located on the profile ribs in the air intake of the canopy.
Follow the rigging diagram and connect the folding lines as shown to the A-attachments points with the help of a short extra line.
Step 2
Install the 2. Level of folding lines by connecting the corresponding 1. level lines as shown in the figure.
Step 3
Connect the 3. Level of folding lines by connecting the corresponding 2. level lines as shown in the figure.
Step 4
Summarize the corresponding 3. level lines to the 4. level line.
Step 5
Mount a small quick link to the folding line riser, after that, you can mount all lines with the yellow covered loop to the small quick link and "secure" them with an o-ring.
Step 6
Connect the folding-line riser to the wing riser's main loop by using a large quick link.
